ABOUT ABOUT

Global Philadelphia Association's (GPA) "Sustainable Development Goals Pitch Night" provides a fun and innovative platform for locals to identify a need in their city around 5 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and then creatively devise a project idea to address one of those goals, all while enjoying good company, delicious pizza, and cold beer!

The Five Goals to Choose From are:

#1 No Poverty, #2 Zero Hunger, #3 Good Health and Well-Being, #4 Quality Education, #5 Gender Equality

One of GPA's missions is to build public awareness and ownership of Philadelphia's recent "World Heritage City" designation. Pitch night is the perfect mix of socializing and civic engagement, held at West Philadelphia's very own Clarkville (43rd and Baltimore). The best pitch wins! So come on out and help make Philly a more sustainable and progressive World Heritage City!

FYI- Pizza included! Cash bar.

Each fall, Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) hosts State of Young Philly (SOYP), a dynamic 10-day event series filled with programming designed to connect young Philadelphians of every background, showcase their positive impact, and amplify their voices. SOYP 2018 brings together nonprofits, government entities, civic leaders, and local businesses to help young Philadelphians identify what civic engagement means to them and the role each individual can play in driving change in their communities.
