Join the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Neighborhood Gardens Trust for a walking tour of community gardens and other urban greening efforts in Northern Liberties. The garden tour will highlight collaborations that are essential for preserving green space long term and will showcase urban leaders, who are making positive and lasting change in their communities. After the tour, we will host a short work day at some of the gardens, which will include light garden maintenance and other projects that will help the gardens prepare for winter. Finally meet up at Urban Village for happy hour and grab a slice of pizza (on the house). Be sure to try Urban Village's craft beer made on site or a seasonal cocktail!
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty!
